This Watermelon Limeade is one of my favorite refreshing ways to cool down on a hot day. It’s super quick and easy, naturally sweet, and gives a fun tangy kick from the lime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups watermelon – cubed
  • 2 cups water
  •  cup fresh lime juice
  • Lime slices – for garnish
  • Fresh mint – for garnish
  • Ice
  • *No sugar?

Instructions

  1. Blend Watermelon:
Place watermelon cubes in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Strain Juice (Optional):
Strain half of the juice through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl or container. Discard the pulp.
(Optional: Leave the second half unstrained to retain more nutrients and fiber.)

  3. Combine Ingredients:
Pour all the watermelon juice into a large pitcher or container. Add fresh lime juice, water, and ice cubes.

  4. Mix and Taste:
Stir well. Taste and adjust with more lime juice if desired.

Notes

  • If the watermelon is sweet enough, additional sugar may not be necessary.
  • For a sweeter juice, start by adding 1/4 cup sugar.

  • Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Taste and adjust: Add more sugar if desired.
